Elizabeth Traore, MPH, is an Epidemiologist and Evaluation Manager for the Directors of Health Promotion and Education (DHPE) in Washington, DC. She has over a decade of experience conducting and overseeing epidemiological studies and program evaluations. Her expertise includes, study design, research methodologies and analysis. In her current role, Ms. Traore , leads DHPE’s Community Market Analysis (CMA) Project and oversees all DHPE evaluations. For the CMA project, she provides technical assistance to state departments of health in the use of market research data to plan effective public health programs. Additionally, she has expertise in methodological approaches used to apply market research data to consumer behaviors related to potential health impacts and outcomes. As the evaluation manager for the organization, she facilitates the planning and execution of all evaluation activities. She works with program managers and their team to develop and implement evaluations that help them determine the degree to which the program is meeting objectives and expected outcomes as well as inform program quality improvement initiatives. Prior to working for DHPE, Ms. Traore served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso and worked as an epidemiologist at the New Hampshire Department of Health in asthma prevention and control. Ms. Traore is a graduate of Michigan State University and received her master of public health degree in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.
