The Directors of Health Promotion and Education (DHPE) LEAP: Lupus Education and Awareness for Patients, Professionals and Providers Program will offer a webinar on Skin and Lupus at 11:00 am EST on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 featuring Anca D. Askanase, MD, MPH, who is the Clinical Director at Columbia University's Lupus Center and Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons.
This webinar will address the following learning objectives:
To discuss the correlation between a lupus diagnosis and skin disease.
To learn health education practices to enhance the skin health of lupus patients.
To explore skin health resources for lupus patients.
To explain how health educators and primary care providers may support the skin health of lupus patients.
The purpose of the webinar is to increase the lupus health knowledge and awareness of health educators, public health professionals and primary care providers. This webinar is a part of the educational offerings of the DHPE LEAP: Lupus Education Webinar Series. One free continuing education unit is offered for this webinar.
